WHAT DOES Tier 1, LLC DO WITH YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Why?
Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit some but not all sharing. Federal law also requires us to tell you how we collect, share, and protect your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand what we do.
What?
The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:
  • Social Security number and employment information
  • Account information and income
  • Telephone numbers and transaction and credit history
How?
All financial companies need to share customers' personal information to run their everyday business. In the section below, we list the reasons financial companies can share their customers' personal information; the reasons Tier 1 chooses to share; and whether you can limit this sharing.

Please note: If you are a new customer, we can begin sharing your information 30 days from the date we sent this notice. When you are no longer our customer, we continue to share your information as described in this notice. However, you can contact us at any time to limit our sharing.

Who we are
Who is providing this notice? Tier 1, LLC and its affiliates that provide various financial products and services under the trade name “Tier 1.”
What we do
How does Tier 1 protect my personal information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

We also limit access to your information to only those employees that need it to do their work, and we require companies that work for us to also protect your information.
How does Tier 1 collect my personal information? We collect your personal information, for example, when you:
  • Visit our website or use the Tier 1 Mobile App
  • Apply for an account or access a credit card
  • Provide income information or employment information to us
  • Provide account information or conduct other business with us
We also collect personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, and other companies.
Why can't I limit all sharing? Federal law gives you the right to limit only:
  • Sharing for affiliates' everyday business purposes — information about your creditworthiness
  • Affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • Sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you
State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.
What happens when I limit sharing for an account I hold jointly with someone else? The information will be shared on a limited basis for both parties.
Definitions
Affiliates Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
Our affiliates include companies with common ownership and other companies that provide support services to us.
Nonaffiliates Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
Nonaffiliates include other financial services companies and service providers that help Tier 1 market to you and provide products and services to you.
Joint marketing A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.
Joint marketing partners include pre-paid debit card companies, bank partners, partners that promote our products, and other financial companies.

Other important information

Affiliate marketing: We will not share phone numbers or text message opt-in consents with any of our affiliates for joint marketing purposes. In order to receive text messages from our affiliates, you will have to explicitly opt in and consent directly with them.

Nevada residents: We are providing this notice pursuant to Nevada State Law. If you do not wish to receive marketing calls from us, you may be placed on our Internal Do Not Call List by calling (800) 988-7782 or emailing help@Tier1Credit.com. Vermont residents: We will not share information we collect about you with nonaffiliated third parties, except as permitted by law, including, for example, with your consent or to service your account. We will not share information about your creditworthiness with our affiliates, other than as permitted by Vermont law, unless you authorize us to make those disclosures.

California residents: Except as permitted by law, we will not share information we collect about you with nonaffiliates or joint marketing partners, except as permitted by law, including, for example, with your consent or to service your account, while you are a resident of California.

Telephone Communications: Telephone communications with us or our authorized agents may be monitored or recorded.
